Lone Star history magazine was developed to be a quarterly publication to benefit and promote membership in a Texas historical society. Combining interesting narrative and analytical history about Texas in its broader contexts of region and nation, the magazine was designed to explore the lives of artists, entrepreneurs, homemakers, naturalists, performers, politicians, reformers, soldiers, and writers. Unfortunately a dividing line between the university and historical society ended the release and further development of the publication.
